## What do Breast Cancer Charity appeals fund?

Four Breast Cancer Charity appeals fund screening, education and treatment access in low-income countries where most breast cancer is found late. Donations go to programme work through World Aid Network partners — not laboratory research and not a UK helpline. £25 funds one complete screening. Give at breastcancer-charity.org/donate/.

These are fundraising pages, not a disaster bulletin and not a clinic. Breast cancer is treatable when it is found early. In many low-income communities there is no organised mammography programme, little public information, and a long walk to the nearest examiner. That is the gap [your donation](https://breastcancer-charity.org/donate/) is for.

£25 funds one complete screening; £75 covers a biopsy and diagnostic work-up; £150 provides one month of hormone therapy; £500 supports surgical access for one patient. We publish those unit costs so you can see what a gift buys. We do not invent “lives saved” counters. Partner reports will appear on [your impact](https://breastcancer-charity.org/your-impact/) when we have numbers we can stand behind.

Breast Cancer Charity is a campaign of World Aid Network (Charity Commission registration in progress, app. 5290505). Gift Aid becomes claimable once registration is granted. Full legal wording is on [registration status](https://breastcancer-charity.org/about/registration-status/).

## Which appeal should I donate to?

Choose the developing-world crisis appeal for overall access; late-stage diagnosis for earlier presentation; free screening to fund £25 exams; education for awareness sessions. Gifts are unrestricted programme funds unless you add a checkout note. All four fund treatment-access work, not research.

Search engines and AI overviews treat these as four different questions. We do too. One page is not a duplicate of another with a new headline. If you want the productised screening gift, use [Fund a mammogram](https://breastcancer-charity.org/fund-a-mammogram/) or the [free screening campaign](https://breastcancer-charity.org/appeal/free-breast-cancer-screening-campaign/). If you want knowledge before a clinic exists, use the [education appeal](https://breastcancer-charity.org/appeal/breast-cancer-education-appeal/).

If you landed here because you need help after a diagnosis in the UK, this hub is the wrong door. Start at [Breast Cancer Support](https://breastcancer-charity.org/breast-cancer-support/).

## How do I donate to a specific appeal?

Donate at breastcancer-charity.org/donate (Stripe checkout — Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted) or email info@worldaidnetwork.org / call 020 4622 0003. Add a checkout note if you want the gift directed to a named appeal. 020 4622 0003 is for donation questions, not clinical advice.

Open the campaign, then give on [donate](https://breastcancer-charity.org/donate/). Stripe accepts cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, one-off or monthly. Monthly gifts help partners plan clinics instead of waiting for a spike in donations.

Please give money rather than parcels from the UK unless a partner has asked for a specific item in writing. Shipping clothes or unused medicines usually arrives late and costs more than buying locally.

## Who are these appeals for — and not for?

These appeals are for donors who want to fund screening and treatment access abroad. They are not a UK helpline, not NHS mammogram booking, not laboratory research, and not personal medical advice. If you have a new breast change, see a GP. If you need a specialist helpline, use Breast Cancer Support.

We repeat that line because people search “breast cancer appeal” when they are scared, and when they want to give. Those are different jobs. Scared belongs with the [NHS](https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/breast-cancer/) and [Breast Cancer Support](https://breastcancer-charity.org/breast-cancer-support/). Giving belongs here.
