> Fund a mammogram from £25 — screening abroad, not NHS booking and not a UK private scan. Clinical exam, ultrasound and education for one woman.

## What does a £25 mammogram gift include?

£25 is our published unit cost for one complete screening pathway: a clinical breast exam, ultrasound, and health education. Mammography is used where partners have equipment. It is not a UK clinic fee and not a named-patient photograph.

| Component | Included in £25 |
| --- | --- |
| Clinical breast examination | Included |
| Targeted ultrasound scan | Included |
| Health education session & TLC guide | Included |
| Mobile outreach unit logistics & fuel | Included |

## Is this an NHS mammogram?

No. NHS England invites eligible women aged 50 up to your 71st birthday every 3 years. We do not book those appointments. This gift funds an exam overseas for a woman who will never receive that letter.

UK private prices are a different market — see [private mammogram cost](https://breastcancer-charity.org/answers/private-mammogram-cost-uk/). The longer campaign essay is the [Free Breast Cancer Screening Campaign](https://breastcancer-charity.org/appeal/free-breast-cancer-screening-campaign/).

## How is this different from the free screening appeal?

This page is the £25 product. The appeal is the in-depth fundraising page for the same unit cost. Use either. Add a checkout note if you want the gift marked for the campaign.

## What happens after the exam?

If something concerning is found, the same programme pool funds the next published steps — biopsy at £75, hormone therapy support, surgical access — so the screening is not a dead end. Details stay on [your impact](https://breastcancer-charity.org/your-impact/). We do not invent quarterly partner audit scores on this page.

| Setting | Cost to Patient | Access Mechanism | Stage at Diagnosis |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| UK NHS Screening | £0 (Free) | Invitation letter every 3 years (ages 50–71 in England). | Often found earlier because organised screening exists. |
| UK Private Clinic | Typically £150–£300 | Self-funded appointment. We do not book these. | Varies. Not our service. |
| Overseas, no programme | Often unaffordable | £25 donor-funded mobile exam via partners. | Typically later without organised screening. |
